Who we are
Brad Builders is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have a question about your information or this policy, email nick.brad62@gmail.com or call 07802 777456.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address and message, together with your telephone number and postcode if you choose to provide them. We may also keep the correspondence needed to deal with your enquiry.
Our website hosting and form services process technical information, such as your IP address, browser information and the time of a request, to deliver the website, maintain security and prevent spam.
You do not have to use the enquiry form. You can contact us by telephone or email instead. The required form fields allow us to understand and respond to your enquiry.
How and why we use your information
We use enquiry information to respond to you, discuss your requirements and prepare a quotation. Where you ask about work we may carry out for you, this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
For other correspondence, website delivery, security and spam prevention, we rely on our legitimate interests in managing enquiries and operating a reliable website. We may also process information where necessary to meet a legal obligation.
We use your consent to save an optional light or dark theme preference on your device. You can withdraw that choice through Cookie settings at any time.
Cookies and similar storage
We use an essential cookie, brad_builders_consent, to remember whether you accept or decline optional storage. It lasts for 180 days and contains your choice, rather than your name or contact details.
If you select Accept, we save your light or dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage under brad-builders-theme. This stays on your device until you decline optional storage or clear your browser data. If you select Decline, the saved theme preference is removed. You can still change the theme for your current visit.
You can change your decision using the Cookie settings button in the footer. The enquiry form, navigation and gallery remain available whether you accept or decline. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your browser also provides controls for cookies and stored website data. Blocking the preference cookie means we may need to ask for your choice again.
Who receives your information
Our service providers process information where needed to host this website, handle enquiries, filter spam and deliver email. These include Netlify, its hosting and form-processing providers, its Akismet spam-filtering service, and our email provider.
We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Some providers process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Netlify publishes details of its data-processing arrangements and transfer safeguards in its Trust Center. Contact us if you would like further information about the processing of your enquiry.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, carry out related work and meet applicable legal or record-keeping requirements. We consider the nature of the enquiry, any continuing relationship and whether information is needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.
These criteria apply to form submissions and email correspondence. Cookie and theme storage periods are described above.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, have information deleted, restrict its use or receive information in a portable format.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent.
To make a request, email nick.brad62@gmail.com or call 07802 777456. We may need to confirm your identity before dealing with a request.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint for information about raising a concern.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the way we process information changes. The current version will remain available on this page.
